Harvard Pilgrim Health Care (map)
Barack Obama's presidential campaign was praised for being one of the most technically savvy ever. What most people don't realize, though, was a lot of that technology was powered by PHP and created right here in Boston at Blue State Digital. Please join BostonPHP, Josh King and Chuck Hagenbuch as they discuss their experiences building and scaling some of the tools which powered my.barackobama.com and the millions of phone calls and billion emails that helped make history on January 20th, 2009.
PLEASE NOTE: Building Security does not allow "walk-ins". Please RSVP now to reserve your spot and (free) admission to this event.
New Meeting Location: Harvard Pilgrim Health Care - Crown Colony is conveniently located near the Quincy Adams Red Line stop (directions). An A&A Metro shuttle bus (w/a Crown Colony transit sign displayed) is available until 9:00pm to get you to/from HPHC and the Quincy Adams Red Line stop.

Boston PHP is the largest and most active PHP community in the world.
We are a lot more than PHP!
We have been meeting since 2002. We have over 2,500 members, and usually meet every month on a Wednesday. We have a wide range of topics all related to PHP, Web Development, and Open Source technology.
All meetings are free, and we encourage everyone to participate and get involved and help grow the PHP community. After each meeting we typically go to a nearby restaurant/bar/pub for more informal discussion.
Check out our newsletter! We video all of our meetups. To access our videos, just follow this link.

Topics we cover:
We base all our meetings from attendee suggestions. If you have an idea for a topic that you would like to see (or present), please use our ideas section.
Calling all presenters:
Please visit our ideas section of the meetup site to see the sort of events we are hoping to have in 2011. We want to have a mix of events from beginner and advanced topics. We are looking for presenters for each of these topics. If you (or someone you know) are experienced in a topic and have some presentation skills - then please let us know. We are also looking for volunteers to help us with planning, logistics, and other odd jobs.
