Another great user group earlier this month as BostonPHPer's had the pleasure of listening to:

Speak on open standards and open source licensing.

For some, OSS licensing is like eating sausage - tastes great, but they really don't want to know what goes in it; for others, it represents an integral element of the evolving OSS model (the third leg of Simon Phipps' OSS ecosystem, see Euro OsCon 2005). Regardless of your OSS licensing view, you had to walk away from the March meeting better equipped to work in the open source world. Thanks to all of our guests for braving the snow storm (for those who stayed home because of the dire predictions....nary a snowflake fell. Chalk up another for the weather prognosticators). February BostonPHP follow up

 


As introduced and promised in February, OpenLazlo has developed a compiler that will generate DHTML (i.e., using their system to automatically write AJAX code for you, instead of compiling to a Flash program). A demo can be seen here:
