November User Group Recap |
Another great BostonPHP User Group turnout at Optaros last week. This time we listened to Stephe Walli discuss "Open Source business models in context". My take-away from his presentation? "The New Economy is still dead, long live Economics 101". In short: open or closed source, if you can't make a compelling business case you'll soon end up in the technology wreckage along with the rest of the animal sock puppets.
Thank you Stephe for your presentation and lively discussion afterward. Those who couldn't attend can read Stephe's thoughts on open source, standards, and the business of software at http://stephesblog.blogs.com/my_weblog/. Listen to Stephe's comments on "Microsoft Finds Itself at a Crossroads" during NPR's Morning Addition here.
