POSITION SUMMARY 

As Senior PHP Architect/Developer, you will be responsible for the overall architectural design, development, implementation and execution of key components of our product offerings.  The primary emphasis is upon development of PHP/MySQL and related LAMP-based product features and applications. The candidate will be responsible for phased design, development, unit/regression testing and version gating of all web and LAMP architecture-based initiatives, including version control & documentation. You will be responsible for ensuring the accurate, timely, cost-effective execution and delivery of all technical programs in accordance with business requirements and objectives, best practices and procedures. The candidate will work in close collaboration with the VP of Engineering and CTO, to help define the technical product roadmap, feature set and the appropriate tools/technologies.  

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS 

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and will have had at least five+ years of experience with

·         Expertise in PHP, MySQL, AJAX, JavaScript, LAMP technologies and associated editing programs.

·         Familiarity with Zend Platform and Zend Studio IDE

·         PHP library experience ie. PECL, PEAR, pdflib, gd, etc.

·         Advanced understanding of server-side scripting.

·         Experience architecting, developing and/or coordinating development of high-tech LAMP based systems

·         Strong knowledge of relational database systems (MySQL experience preferred) with proficiency in logical data modeling

·         Strong leadership, communication and documentation skills

·         Previous success building, mentoring and leading a cross-functional peer/consultant development teams

·         Needs to work well in a team environment and have effectiveness building teams Additional desired qualifications include:

·         Knowledge of PHP 4-5, Action Script 2,3, CSS, HTML, DHTML, XML & DOM

·         Ability to create next generation GUI and interactive models

·         Sensitivity to system performance, stability, scalability and fault tolerance

·         Project management, coordination and mentoring

·         Creative problem solving ability

·         Willingness to play multiple roles and passion for building innovative products

·         Experience working with onshore/offshore agencies a plus 

COMPENSATION  A competitive compensation package will be offered to the successful candidate.  The compensation package will include a base, bonus and equity.
